So, how do you begin?

Well, the best way to start your answer is with a short introduction like one -sentence introduction and this answer should reflect who you are and your abilities to be the required for the particular role.

For example, if you're applying for a Business development executive job, you would say

“I'm an MBA in marketing with five years of experience in business management.”

And this answer shows that you're an MBA and you have five years of experience in the business development field. Now if you're a fresher or a postgraduate recently and applying for your first job, you can say,

“I'm a recent graduate with an MBA in marketing.”

And don't be in a doubt, of course, you need to say this after your name and make sure your introduction should be strong and impressive.

Step 2

When we come to the next Step, Once you end up these sentences you should say now three to five sentences about your recent achievements and this answer shows that why you're a right candidate for the job at the same time you can impress the interviewer with this answer and it would be like

' I'm an MBA and specialized in marketing and generated leads through coordinating with sales and marketing team, gathered business requirements on time to time with a proper analysis of business insights. '

For a recent postgraduate or any fresher you can say,

“I'm a recent post-graduate with an MBA in marketing with 78% from Pune University. I'm very passionate about marketing trends and strategies which let me specialize in marketing to make the right decisions for the company growth and success."

If you're a BBA graduate you can also say like this but you can say in your own way which has to meet the professional task on your answer and don't say too much if you're a fresher and keep your answer strong and impressive including your educational qualifications, here your percentages and certifications are measurements of your work capability. So be clear on your answer.

Step 3

And the next part you need to mention is the recent achievements that you did in the current job and you need to show your abilities with your experience also and this shows why you are the right person for this job and you can impress the interviewer with your good answer. When you prepare your answer, think of three to five points about your achievements and these are the strong points.

"The success of my work has made the clients repeat customers, meaning that they have come back to my company for more business services, many corporate clients have become repeat customers for the company I'm working for. I have also delivered workshops for business executives aiming to help them to teach business insights and decisions we need to make for the success of the company.

If you're a recent graduate mention your accomplishments in the college on the projects and other academic successes if you have any.

"I've done a project on marketing insights in XYZ Pvt.ltd  which is dealing with retail marketing and evaluated the marketing data and I've given the right actions to be taken to the company which has been appreciated by the managing director of XYZ Pvt.ltd"

Now at this step, the interviewer must be impressed with your skills but he or she might be thinking you 've done all this and sound like a professional but you need to get ready for the next question why do you want to come here and work for this company? which is a part of step 2  And don't talk about your current job in a negative way and if you talk like this, it shows a negative attitude towards your current job and tries to say it in a positive way to impress the interviewer. you might say

"I'm very happy in my current job but am looking for a more challenging role where I can utilize my skills in a managerial position that's the reason why I want this job "

And if you're a recent graduate you would say that

"I'm  looking for a job where I can put my education and skills to use, where I will challenge to grow and learn and contribute to the success of the company "

And with this closing statement, you end up your answer in a professional way which makes a clear view of your profile for the job

let's see the complete answer as if you're an experienced

I'm an MBA and specialized in marketing and generated leads through coordinating with sales and marketing team and gathered business requirements on time to time with a proper analysis of business insights and the success of my work have made the clients repeat customers, meaning that they have come back to my company for more business services and with these successful efforts, many corporate clients have become repeat customers for the company that I'm working for and I have also delivered workshops for business executives aiming to help them to teach business insights and decisions we need to make for the success of the company and I'm very happy in my current job but am looking for a more challenging role where I can utilize my skills in a managerial position and that's the reason why I want this job"

So remember the three steps always start with a good introduction and then talk about three to five sentences of your achievements and finally end up with a statement on why you want this job.

And in case of a recent graduate or postgraduate

I'm a recent post-graduate with an MBA in marketing with 78% from Pune University. I'm very passionate about marketing trends and strategies which let me specialize in marketing to make the right decisions for the company growth and success and I've done a project on marketing insights in HCS Pvt.ltd  which is dealing with retail marketing and evaluated the marketing data and I've given the right actions to be taken to the company which has been appreciated by the managing director of HCS Pvt.ltd and I'm looking for a job where I can put my education and skills to use, where I will challenge to grow and learn and contribute to the success of the company.

When you answer this question it's not good to talk about your family or your hobbies or other personal interests because all that information is not important and relevant to the interviewer

Because the interviewer is trying to decide whether you're a good candidate or not for the job and if they want to know about your personal life they can ask you later during the interview, but most of the interviews if you observe, we mention always our personal details a lot rather than giving importance to professional achievements.

Here you can see not exactly meeting the professional achievements.

"Hi,

Good morning sir.
I am Ramya from Andhra Pradesh I have Completed Bachelor Engineering in Andhra University.

Coming to my family.
My father is an Electrical Engineer and My mother is a housewife.

I have no siblings.
My strength is working hard.
My Hobbies are playing badminton and singing.
My Short-term goal is to get a job in a reputed company."

And with this answer, you may not impress the interviewer to grab the right job opportunity for you. so it would be good to avoid talking more about your personal details and the interviewer may ask if he or she needs it.

This means the interviewer is asking you to start with your first job, or your education in a detailed manner and then go through experience ending with your current role and spend the most of the time talking about your achievements and what difference you made to the company you are working for and skill you acquired there.

Conclusion

Before going for an interview focus on your answers that do they show professional answers to the interviewer questions or not and you can answer in your own way if you know how to answer this super important question, so prepare well enough for the successful interview.
